Terry was born May 22, 1948 in Swift Current, Sask. He passed away May 17, 2023 at Melfort Hospital at the age of 74 years.
At the age of 18 Months, Terry was lovingly adopted into the home of Wes and Helen Eastman of Melfort. He completed his formal schooling in Melfort and then launched out to work in the banking sector in Naicam and Dinsmore Sask. Through the years he was introduced to music and that soon became a deep-rooted love and passion. He was greatly blessed with a God given talent on the piano which carried him far and near playing for countless years. Being church pianist, was a blessing for both him and those who were sitting under the sound of his playing. Terry also was in the band program during school years playing the tenor saxophone. As his sister, I would often find him at the piano and knew he was in his happy place. In later years, after the store closed Terry found employment with Melfort Housing. Coffee with the boys on coffee row would find him at the table enjoying the company of long-time friends.
Terry was predeceased by both our mother and father and leaves his sister Bonnie (Rodger Halvorsen) of Lethbridge AB, and his younger brother Laurie Eastman of Kinistino as well nieces Dawn Halvorsen and partner Mike Denys of Victoria, BC and Teresa Vanee and husband Steve of Lethbridge, AB. Surviving him are also great nephew CJ Rasmussen, great niece Brooklyn Rasmussen, great nephew Taylor Vanee, and great nieces Hayden and Hannah Vanee.
Terry was so proud of all his extended family and loved each one dearly. He loved life to the fullest always willing to try new things. Good food, good coffee, and good fellowship were high on Terry’s agenda, and it didn’t matter in which order they came.
