Obituary for Sherry Faye Kradovill (Barks)

Sherry Faye Kradovill passed from this life unexpectedly on July 28, 2022 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 63 years.

Sherry was born December 14, 1958 in Arborfield, SK to Ray and Helen Barks. She was the oldest of three children, having little sister Gwen, who passed away at birth and her younger brother John.

She lived her early years on the Bernesky homestead, east of Arborfield. She was very close to her Gramma Katie and she spent a summer with her when both Ray and Helen worked away in construction. The family eventually settled in Melfort, where she completed her education.

Sherry was quite outgoing and made many friends wherever she lived. She was known for her determination and never let life get her down. This was most evident when her kidneys stopped working and she endured 8 years of dialysis until in 2013 she received a kidney transplant from her brother John. This gave her an opportunity to build a new life.

It was during this time that Sherry met the love of her life Brad and they married on August 12, 2017. Together they worked hard to make each other’s life the best it could be. Brad was Sherry’s whole world and she was Brad’s.

Life was not always easy and Sherry faced many difficult times but she always persevered and faced things head on. She was determined to live her life on her terms.

Sherry now lives among the angels without pain being with all our loved ones who’ve gone before and now welcome her home.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband Brad; her mother Helen Melvin; her brother John Barks; her daughter Britney; her sons: Sheldon and Hudson; her step-son Daulton; her step-daughter Kyra and grandchildren: Kole, Spencer, Kyrie, Damien, Sharon and Emily.

Sherry was predeceased by: her Gramma Katie Bernesky; her father Ray; her Papa Harvey; her infant sister Gwen and step-son Tyson.

Friends so wishing may make memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan.
