Obituary for Lisa Margaret Roberge (Heffernan)
Lisa Margaret Roberge (nee Heffernan), late of Melfort, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2022 at Parkland Place in Melfort. She was 60 years of age. Lisa was born in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan and she grew up on the family farm northeast of Birch Hills with her parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Lisa’s working career involved jobs in accounting and the hospitality industry. She met her husband, Ron Roberge in Lloydminster. After owning a farm as well as businesses in the restaurant industry, Ron and Lisa moved to Melfort where they built the A&W and later built a second A&W in Tisdale. They also brought the Boston Pizza franchise to Melfort where it was operated by her entire family.
Despite a very busy life in business, Lisa’s priorities were always her family and each day was filled with many jokes and smiles. It was always very uplifting to spend time with her. Tragically, Lisa developed dementia and had spent the last number of years of her life in Parkland Place, Melfort where she was wonderfully cared for by the staff. Ron visited her daily.
Lisa is survived by her best friend and loving husband Ron Roberge; her daughter Angela (Andrew, grandson Jaspen); her son Dustin (granddaughter Cameron), her son Nick, her son Lane, and her mother-in-law Una. She is also survived by 3 sisters, 3 brothers, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Lisa was predeceased by her father Ward Heffernan of Birch Hills, her mother Genevieve Thompson of Prince Albert, her brother Mark Heffernan, her nephew Steven Heffernan, her father-in-law Wilf Roberge, and her sister-in-law Elaine.
A Celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Lisa’s memory to the North Central Health Care Foundation, PO Box 1480, Melfort, SK S0E 1A0.
