Obituary for Leroy Darbyshire

Leroy Darbyshire was born November 23, 1950 in Hudson Bay Saskatchewan. He was the eldest of five children.
He was raised here in Hudson Bay, and spent most of his life working in the logging industry.
Through the years he worked various jobs around town and in Alberta but mainly stayed true to bush work, falling trees.
If you could picture an old lumber Jack in your mind, that was him back in the day…. Big bushy beard, raggedy old plaid jacket, toque and all.
His love of nature was reflected by his simple life.
He loved fishing and hunting, moose, elk, deer, birds, and even bear.
He never came home empty handed. If anyone could track a moose, it was Darb.
Several years back his life took a downward spiral.
He never really recovered from the debilitating events which left him emotionally and physically handicapped.
He was unable to work any longer after that.
He coped the only way he knew how to block his pain.
In spite of all his pitfalls, he loved his friends and family.
He knew he could rely on us for unconditional love and what ever his needs were.
Leroy is predeceased by his parents, Victor and Emma Darbyshire and sister Vicky.
He leaves to mourn his siblings, Dolores (Carman) Listol, Laura Darbyshire, Debra (Neil) VanNes, Jack Darbyshire, numerous other family members, nephews, nieces and a multitude of friends.
Thank you to all of Leroy’s family and friends for their support during his illness.
NO ACT OF KINDNESS (no matter how small) IS EVER WASTED.
