Obituary for Jennifer Karen Kjelshus

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jen. Jen graced this world with her presence on April 8, 1979. Though she was tiny Jen was full of fire and fiercely protective of those around her. She had a big boisterous laugh and a smile that could light up the whole room. She lived her life as a free spirit and had a gypsy soul. She loved to travel and try all sorts of new and wild adventures, taking her two true loves her children Cole and Carleigh along with her. She had a passion for art, music and photography but her happy place was the mountains. On January 1 we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Jen. An amazing Mother, Daughter, Sister, Cousin, Niece and Friend. It gives us great comfort knowing Jen has been welcomed into the afterlife by her Grandma and Grandpa Cross, Grandma Ila and Grandpa Orville, her Auntie Rae and Uncle John and her Auntie Joy. Jen will be eternally treasured by her Children Cole Nickeson and Carleigh Weixl, Parents Don and Emily Kjelshus, Siblings Sara Kjelshus (Noah), Jackie (Matthew) Haichert (Madison and Theo), Lindsay (Joel) Prefontaine (Samuel and Rowan), Lynn Cross (Abbi and Joel), Marni (Wes) Fredin (Jessi and Braidyn), Countless Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and Friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Pleasantdale Community Hall on January 13 at 2pm. All are welcome to attend to say their goodbyes and support one another in this time of grief. In Lieu of flowers Donations can be made to her children Cole and Carleigh as they move forward in their lives. Any donations can be made to Lindsay Prefontaine in trust of her children.

Friends so wishing may make memorial contributions for Jennifer's children, Cole and Carleigh.
