Obituary for Jeannette Degerness
Jeannette Elaine Degerness passed away with her daughter Debbie and husband Ron by her side on December 26th, 2022 in the Pasqua Hospital in Regina.
Jeannette was predeceased by her partner Roy Anderson, parents James & Ellen and her sister Shirley.
She is survived by daughter Debbie (Ron) Wolf. Grandchildren Trevor (Deanna) and great grandsons Tate and Levi; Melissa (Andrew)Jansen and great grandchildren Amaya and Vincent.
Jeannette was born July 1st 1942 in Prince Albert. Her family lived in a few communities including Weldon before they moved to Revelstoke B.C. When Jeannette’s mom passed away, the family moved back home to Melfort. Jeannette worked in the hospitality industry for many years. She loved the outdoors- camping, fishing, trapping, sports days, chuckwagon and chariot races and she loved to garden. She took great pride in having her garden and yard look nice. When her great grandchildren came along it made her beam with pride and would also like to brag about them when given the chance. In May 2021 she moved to Caskey Place and enjoyed the friends she made there and reacquainted with old friends that were living there as well. Due to health issues, May 2022 Jeannette moved to Strasbourg and Lived at Last Mountain Pioneer Home until her passing.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Last Mountain Pioneer Home in Strasbourg for the wonderful care Jeannette received as well as the staff of Unit 5D Pasqua Hospital-Regina.
