Our deepest sympathies to Uncle Bill, my cousins and their families. Aunty Irene was such a kind and soft spoken lady, I always remember her cheery disposition and laughter at Uncle Bill's jokes. She was a great cook and would spoil us with homemade treats. Her awesome homemade yogurt was a hit in our family (which we would tell all our friends about) and I still think of it to this day. Her family was everything to her and I loved catching up and hearing how everyone was doing. She will be sadly missed. Rest in Peace Aunty xoxo

Our deepest condolences to Uncle Bill, and my cousins Dale, Debbie, Bobbie, Lloyd, and Maureen and their families. Auntie Irene was a kind soul and I have so many fond memories of spending time at her place in Melfort. She sure loved to cook, and among so many of her special treats we were lucky to have, I remember tasting her wonderful homemade yogurt! She will be missed by everyone.
Love: Dale, Shauna, and Jake Altrogge

So sorry to hear of Aunt Irene's passing, you are all in our thoughts and prayers.
It seems that there is a common tread regarding Poppy Roll - I remember those too!
But what I really remember is the visits over the years at our place in the Valley.
Seems to me they would often be timed with the weekend of the Grayson Polka Fest!
I am sure that Aunt Irene is dancing today.
Love from Jay (and the Exner family)

So sorry to read about Irene's passing. We always enjoyed our visits and she was a great hostess. Her home made baking was so tasty especially her poppy rolls. So many great memories. RIP Irene.
