It is with great sadness, the family announce the passing of Henry Jacob Shirran on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.
Henry, the youngest of four children, was born September 17, 1955 at Melfort, Sk. to John and Bea Shirran. Henry was predeceased by his father John, his sister Beverley Wynnyczenko, his nephews Adam Shirran and Stephen Duesener and his mother-in-law Esther Ryhorchuk.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Daphne, his 'boychild' son Mike (Amanda), his mother Bea Shirran, his sister Shirley (John) Duesener, his brother George, his sister-in-law Denise Shirran and his brother-in-law Walter Wynnyczenko. He is also survived by Daph's brothers Garry (Bev), Kubi (Sandra) and sisters Linda (Hugh) MacLeod and Sharon (Vern) Sullivan and his many nieces and nephews.
Henry spent most of his working career in the transportation industry. As a driver with STC, he achieved the Safe Driver Award for 1,000,000 miles - a proud achievement for Henry. Henry enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling, skiing, golf and motorcycling - meeting and making many friends along the way. His pleasant manner, warm smile and twisted sense of humour will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at Fedusiak Funeral Home at Melfort on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm sharp... (he didn't tolerate lateness!)
Donations in memory of Henry may be made to Sask. Wildlife Federation, 9 Lancaster Rd., Moose Jaw, Sk. S6J 1M8 or to a charity of your choice.

Henry was a terrific individual and an outstanding bus driver for STC. His positive spirit and warm personality will be missed by all that knew him. I am sad that we didn’t have more time together at STC but I feel privileged to have worked with him. My deepest sympathy goes out to Henry’s family and friends.
