Obituary for Helen Gertrude Coquet (Mombourquette)
Helen Gertrude Coquet passed away August 18, 2022 in Saskatoon at the age of 80 years.
She was the loving mother of Joe Coquet (Arlene) of Saskatoon. She will also be dearly missed by her three grandchildren: Sarah Coquet, Nichole Coquet (Travis, and great grandson Noah), and Michael Coquet (Alex), all of Saskatoon. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Peter (Sarah) Mombourquette of Windsor, ON, sister June Larose of Chelsea, QC, and sister-in-law Genny Mombourquette, of Windsor, ON.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Maurice Coquet, her parents Roderick and Gertrude Mombourquette, brother Rod Mombourquette, her mother and father-in-law Dominique and Josephine Coquet, as well as numerous in-laws and a nephew.
Helen was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia on December 19, 1942. She grew up there until moving to Maniwaki, QC where she met the love of her life, Maurice. After only three dates they became engaged and were married June 30, 1962. They had one son, Joey, born May 14, 1963 in Val Dor, QC. Helen and Maurice moved numerous times throughout the years, with Helen spending her last few years in Saskatoon close to those she loved the most.
