Obituary for Frieda Alberta Tyacke (Manley)

Frieda Alberta Tyacke (Manley) was born in South Melfort, SK on January 4, 1919. She was the youngest of four children. She grew up on a farm in the Flint District and attended Flint School for eight years.

She married Fay Tyacke on February 23, 1935 in Pleasantdale, SK. They had one son, Norman. They lived on a farm in the Flint District until they moved to Silver Park, SK in 1949. Finally, they moved to Melfort in 1953.

Frieda worked numerous jobs including at McLeod’s, Eaton’s, and Sears.

She spent her last four years at Jubilee Lodge in Kinistino, where she received excellent care from the staff there.

Frieda passed away peacefully on February 23, 2021. She was predeceased by: her husband Fay; her parents Jesse and Effie Manley; her brother Elzo (Daisy), and her sisters Veda (Albert) Edgington and Zeta (Philip) Haidenger.

She is survived by her son Norman (Norma); grandchildren Darwin, Kelly (Shelley), Leanne (Lane) Fedoruk, and Darren (Glenda); great grandchildren Kyle Fedoruk (Carole), Riley Fedoruk (Jaime), and Bailey Tyacke; and great great grandchildren Caythan and Sienna Fedoruk. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

A Service Celebrating Frieda's life will be held at a later date.
