Florence was born in Kinistino, SK on January 11, 1941. She was the youngest of ten children.
Florence was raised in Glen Mary, where she attended school.
Florence met Glen Tolofson from Brockington and they were married on November 27, 1959.
Glen and Florence moved to Melfort where they started their family. They had a family of seven children.
Florence was a stay-at-home mom up until the passing of her husband Glen in 1976. She then moved to Prince Albert, SK to work at the Marlboro Inn where she worked for the next ten years. She then moved back to Melfort, where she resided until her passing.
Florence is lovingly remembered by her six children: Karen (Bruce) Schell, Ken Tolofson, Linda (Delwin) Linden, Marilyn (Tim) McKee, Tracy Tolofson and Roxanne Lundgren; 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; three sisters-in-law: Joyce Peters, Geolina McCrea and Lillian Umperville.
Florence was predeceased by her parents: Henry and Catherine Umperville; husband Glen Tolofson; infant son Dale Tolofson; brothers: Wilfred, Henry, Ingram, Mac, Mervin, Ernest and Roderick; sisters: Evelyn and Stella; two granddaughters: Chassidy Tolofosn and Kayla Lundgren; son-in-law Donovan Lundgren.
