Obituary for Elsie Mae Anderson (Meyers)

Elsie Mae Meyers was passed away on May 30, 2020 in Melfort, SK at the age of 61 years. She was born on November 6, 1958 in Kinistino - the fifth of six children born to Fred and Marjorie Meyers.
One of the best days in her life was when she married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Anderson, on June 18, 1993 in Saskatoon, SK. They lived in Saskatoon and moved to Moose Jaw then Prince Albert and finally to Melfort.
Elsie was a kind, caring, loving person that would give you the shirt off her back and go without, she had the tightest of hugs; once she wrapped her arms around you, you weren’t going to get away. She always had a big smile on her face and a great memory. Elsie loved to play crib and would always put her 5’s into the other persons crib...she didn’t care about keeping the points for herself.
We loved her and now she is home with Bob, whom she missed terribly.
Left behind to mourn her passing are: her brother: Dale (Sarah) their children: Josie, Scott and Twyla and their children: Cienna, Autumn, Brayden Kayla and Kayden; sister Yvonne (Stan) their children: Dwain and Doug and their children: Brennon, Bailey, McKenzie and Michael; sister Chris (Pete) their children: Amanda (Darren), Mark (Camilla) and Carrie (Curtis) and their children: Shanae, Taylor, Liam, Lauren, Emry, Ethan and Kaitlyn; brother Donald (Donna) children: Trevor (Nilda), Bobby and Pam and their children: Katana, Dakota, Adam, Naimo, Cason and Matix; sister Karen her children: Eleisha (travis), Randy (Diana), Christopher, Brad (Olivia) and Brooke and their children: Aquielle, Dailyn, Zaibree, Kalton, Kaylee, Peyton, Aizlee, Hudson and Damien as well as numerous other family and friends.
Elsie was predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” Anderson and parents Fred and Marjorie Meyers.

Special Memories
Dale remembers Elsie for the birthday cards; her birthday was November 6 and Dale’s on November 10. She would always send Dale a card 2 weeks early so that he wouldn’t forget her birthday.
Our cousin Iris shared this memory: the night Elsie was born, she was at grandma’s house across from the hospital. She was leaning on the couch watching and she was told that when the lights go out, there’s a baby and it didn’t take long; dad went to grandma’s to announce they had a baby girl. Dad was very proud.
