Obituary for Edmund Beuker

The death of Edmund Beuker, at the age of 89 years, occurred peacefully on May 29, 2020 at the Melfort Union Hospital, Melfort, SK.
Edmund Englebert Beuker was born on November 2, 1930 to parents Leo and Julia (Faul) Beuker in Humboldt, SK.

He attended Dixon School and helped with his brothers and sisters on the family farm. His love of music got him many jobs playing for dances on weekends. Edmund meet Mom (Veronica Kosokowsky) early on, when she was still too young to be married, so he had to patiently wait. They were married on June 8, 1954. Dad worked for a year on the docks in Vancouver and considered going back, but instead gave up music and began to farm in the Wolverine RM or southwest of Humboldt in the Carmel District. In 1965, they moved to the Pleasant Valley area to farm. They had 6 children: Kevin, Brenda, David, Larry, Susan and Russel.

Dad loved to hunt and fish. Many summer vacations were spent in a boat, with our hooks in the water. When the kids were gone, mom and dad spent all summer up north in tents; fishing and picking blueberries. They made many friends at lakes and kept in touch.

We have learned so much from Dad; curiosity, patience, determination. He was he Master of understatement, and we will miss him so much.

Dad (Ed) is survived by his children: Brenda, David (Zelda) and Russ (Sandra); grandchildren: Collin, Amanda (Ryan), Todd (Hazel), Marcel; 5 great grandchildren; brother Donald and sisters: Loretta and Anita.

He was predeceased by his parents Leo and Julia Beuker; his wife Veronica; his children: Larry, Susan, Kevin; granddaughter Melony; brothers: Bernard and Jerome and sisters: Verena, Magdalen, Antionette.

Friends so wishing may make memorial contributions to the Melfort Wildlife Federation.
