Dennis Allan Cropper was born in Spalding, Saskatchewan on May 12, 1964. He grew up in Naicam, Saskatchewan with his parents Allan and Mary (nee Hirsch) Cropper along with his three younger brothers: Kevin, Sheldon, and Robert. Dennis worked from a young age with his father and mother at their family business, Cropper Motors. Dennis enjoyed repairing anything he could get his hands on and had a knack for fixing everything that came his way. Growing up he enjoyed hockey, water skiing, fishing, and woodworking with his Grandpa Max. Fishing and hunting became a real passion of his later in life. Everything he did was always with a big smile. He worked his entire career at the family business in Naicam, a wealth of knowledge and talent that will be greatly missed and impossible to replace.

Dennis was thrilled and honoured to drive the fire truck in this past Homecoming parade. He enjoyed the many friendships, laughs and the comradery he shared with his fellow Naicam Fire department members these past 29 years.

Dennis was blessed with three children, Aimee, Steven, and Shelby. Dennis eventually moved to Melfort, and on August 2, 2014, Dennis married the love of his life, Laurie Ungar and added three more children to his family, Michael, Breanna, and Bailey. This wonderful union grew into 9 grandchildren that were the light of his life. Spending time with his children and grandchildren was something he truly loved. He really enjoyed the family camping trips in the summer, riding quads, fishing, and hunting.

Early in 2020, Dennis was diagnosed with ALS, a devastating prognosis that Dennis faced with strength, resolve, dignity, and humbleness. He continued to live every day with a smile on his face. He cherished every minute he spent with his grandchildren, trips to the Ingram Ranch, visits at Cropper Motors, his days with the Melfort Legion Coffee Crew, his 29 years with the Naicam Fire Department and time spent with friends and family.

Dennis passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2022.

He will always be remembered as a strong, kind, and generous man with a great smile.

He will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Laurie; children and grandchildren: Aimee Cropper (Sheldon Nadeau, grandchildren Layne & Hailey); Steven Cropper; Shelby McDonald (Mitchell, granddaughter Elizabeth); Michael Gerski (Amanda, grandchildren Jordan (Ram), Josh, Tyson, Lexus & Katana), Breanna Sanderson (granddaughter Mayah), Bailey Braun (Jordaan); and travelling companion Stella;
