It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we say goodbye to our kind and compassionate Chayce Garchinski.
Chayce was born in Melfort on May 6, 2004 to Greg and Tracy Garchinski weighing 8lbs 2.5 ozs. He was the first of three children in the family. Chayce was a supportive and encouraging big brother to Austin and Paxton. Chayce was so proud of his siblings and he was always mindful of his behaviors, knowing how it would influence them.
Chayce attended Reynolds Central School and MUCC. During this time he joined many different sports, activities, and groups. He played hockey, volleyball, football, basketball, archery, track and field, coached basketball, served as an altar server, and was in jazz band and swing choir. His love for music started at the age of three when he spent the whole night playing the tambourine with the band at a family celebration. This passion continued all the way into High School with Mr. B who continued to inspire his love of music. At home they would often hear Chayce humming and singing his favourite country songs.
Another passion began at the age of 15 when Chayce bought his first vehicle, which he thought was cool since he didn’t even have his license. This was only the beginning of many, many vehicles to come and go through the farm. He enjoyed wheeling and dealing with selling parts or trading one vehicle for another.
Being very sociable, Chayce easily connected with people and had great enthusiasm for them. He loved to talk and was interested in what others had to say whether he was talking to a 4 year old or someone in their 80’s. He admired and respected his teachers for who they were as a person and appreciated the time they spent talking with him. Chayce also connected easily with his classmates. He always strived to see the good in people and did not judge them for their imperfections.
Chayce felt such pride for his family both immediate and extended. He was always eager to hear stories about his family's roots and traditions that the aunts, uncles and grandparents shared. Chayce loved the lifestyle that the farm provided. He enjoyed working around the farm doing many tasks which included driving the combine, doing yard or shop work, hauling water to the sprayer, or just doing odd jobs.
Family was his love and foundation. Together they spent many hours playing games, watching movies, sharing in conversations, and supporting each other's activities. They will miss the excitement in his eyes when telling his stories, his playfulness, how he was always there for Austin and Paxton making them feel valued, along with his big smile and hearty laugh.

Chayce was a deep thinker. His mind was forever busy. He was an old soul who understood things far beyond his time. Chayce felt everything to his core which is why he radiated so much love and light to others. He fulfilled his time here with us and he was guided to answer his Father’s call. Jesus said, “Come to me all of you who labour and are overburdened, and I will give you rest”. (Mathew 11:28)
Now Chayce is in heaven singing with Pa and talking with Grandpa. Please know that Chayce is at peace. All he ever wanted to accomplish in life was to make a difference. Listening to people talk about Chayce and knowing him, we can see that he achieved his goal. Chayce changed our lives for the better. We love him and he will be forever missed.
Chayce is predeceased by his Grandfathers Victor and Wilford Lummerding; Adam Garchinski.
Left to mourn are Chayce’s immediate family, parents Greg and Tracy; brother Austin and sister Paxton; grandmothers Sonja Garchinski and Alice Lummerding along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Friends so wishing may make memorial contributions to the MUCC Band Program and to support Mental Health Programming. Cheques made payable to the North East School Division.
