Obituary for Brent Rolland
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brent Rolland in Melfort,
Saskatchewan on December 22, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Brent was born September, 1965 in Selkirk, Manitoba to Hilda (“Cookie”) and Brian Rolland.
He was the youngest of 5 children and always lived his days to the fullest. Brent grew up in
Thompson, Manitoba where he eventually met the love of his life, Tracy. Brent was always
one for adventure from working in the Arctic Circle to mining underground at Inco to
skydiving. Brent and Tracy eventually made their home in Melfort where they raised their 3
children. Brent enjoyed working for the City of Melfort where he always had great stories
and made great friendships. He had a unique laugh and a great sense of humor always
believing not to take life too seriously.
Brent is lovingly remembered by his wife of 24 years, Tracy, their children, McKenzie, Paige
and Connor Rolland, his sisters, Jackie Cole (Kevin), Shelley Rolland and brother Mike
Rolland (Sonja), brother-in-law, Barry Budden and sister-in-law, Tara Hamilton (Archie), as
well as nieces Chelsea Coates and Michelle Rolland, nephews Darcy Rolland (Lori), Jesse
Cole (Danielle), Julian Budden, Bryan Monan (Paige) and many great nieces and nephews.
Brent is predeceased by his parents, Brian and Hilda Rolland, sister, Cindy Budden,
brother-in-law, Victor Monan and niece, Ashley Coates.
