It is with great sadness that the family of Beatrice Panchyshyn announces her peaceful passing on June 25, 2020 at the age of 87.
Beatrice was born on Feb 19, 1933 in Saskatoon City Hospital and grew up and resided in the Brooksby area. She attended school in Brooksby and dedicated most of her life to farming with her brother Andrew and caring for her mother Annie. After retiring from farming Beatrice moved with her mother into Brooksby and later to Melfort to experience city life. Beatrice was a kind and compassionate woman and a dedicated member of her church. She enjoyed a good game of cribbage or Yahtzee, spent countless hours decorating pysanka, and had a passion for sewing that could put any seamstress to shame. She took pride in her family and loved to fill their freezers with perogies any chance she had. And we can’t forget how much she enjoyed the company and coffee breaks with her many close friends.
Beatrice will be fondly remembered by her sister, Nettie, brothers Adam and Joe (Linda), numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. She was predeceased by her parents Annie and John, siblings Andrew, Frank, Eric, Jean and Peter. A Private Family Funeral Service will be held.
Friends so wishing may make memorial contributions to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints' of Melfort. (P.O. Box 3818, Melfort, SK. S0E 1A0)

To Beatrice’s family,
Sympathy to everyone. 🌹
Occasionally she joined the coffee group at Pennys in the mall. It was nice to chat with her.

Sorry to hear that Beatrice has passed away. My parents farm was right across the road from the Panchyshyn farm at Brooksby and we had a well worn path through the bush that we used frequently to visit. Beatrice was part of our life and she was always around if Mom and Dad needed an extra hand to help with the farm chores. After I left the farm, no trip back to Brooksby or Melfort was complete without a visit with Beatrice to catch up on the local news. There are a lot of good memories from having Beatrice as a neighbor and a friend. My condolences to the family.

Nettie & family: May I extend my sincere sympathy on the loss of your sister Beatrice. I had the pleasure in sharing her company on many church district meetings and enjoying her humor and her smile and the twinkle in her eye. May her memory be eternal.

We were very saddened to learn of the passing of our sister Beatrice. She was suddenly taken ill and thankfully did not suffer for a lengthy period as a result. She will be missed by many as she always was a willing and contributing member of Family gatherings and of hosting many in a true Ukrainian fashion. She will be missed. May she Rest in Peace! We are sorry that we will be unable to be present for her final journey. God Bless. Brother Joe and Linda.
