Obituary for Antony "Tony" Walcer

Tony Walcer
May 9, 1949 – July 7, 2020

Tony was born in Stuartburn, MB on November 16, 1924, to Adolph and Maria Walcer.

At the age of 16, the family moved to Brockington, SK where they started farming. Tony worked on the farm will he joined the Armed Forces in 1944. He was stationed at Wainwright, AB where he watched over prisoners of war.

Later he worked at a fish factory in Hay River, NWT for some time and then worked at various jobs for farmers.
In 1954, he married Eileen Johnson. To this union six children were born: Kerry, Allan, Kathy, Mark, Robin and Richard, who passed away in infancy in 1957.
In 1956 tony purchased a quarter of land which he farmed for some time and then he rented it out. Tony worked at a farm for Wayne Anderson and then for his brother-in-law Harold Thompson for 4 years before retiring in Melfort till his passing.

Tony was a member of the Seniors Club where he enjoyed playing cards with his friends.

Tony was predeceased by his parents Adolph and Maria; brothers: Joe and Mike; sisters: Kay Oger, Olga Kirkham; grandsons: Devon and Killian, as well as numerous other family members.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 66 years, Eileen; children: Kerry (Gail) and their children Dustin (Jen) and Daylan; Allan and his children: Jason, Michael, Rochelle and Sunny; Kathy (David) Tremblay and daughter Shannon (Chuck); Mark (Lynnette) and daughter Kelsey (Colton); Robin and children Kiefer and Kieden; 8 great grandchildren; sister Emily Amizano; sisters-in-law: Katherine Walcer, Elsie Thompson and Kay Johnson and other family members.

A Private Family Service will be held at a later
